I worked on the Orangutans for the Keenex commercial with the Method team in Melbourne.
I had a great time there with the fantastic team. Extreme close up!!

Method Studios- Target Toys
The bear made use of the wisps rather than cluster to create the clumpy look of the fur.
Method Studios done a fantastic job from concept to final render!!!

Method Sudios- New Zealand Lotto Penguin
I made the penguin so it would work with or with out hair. but a layer of thick hairs worked well as the dense feathers. Method made variations of the textures and done a great job on the Animation, lighting and comp.

I used almost every modifier wisps,cluster,kink,twist etc.
The challenge was getting the correct density of the wool.

OK.. rentokill mouse is one shot of a longer animation. I was still using scanline for the fur at this point. Render the hole thing in v-ray (no fur) render a Baked GI map for the mouse body thats ten applied to the self illumination in the fur shader. then rendered the fur in scanline and comp. The...

Really great work!!! Can I ask did you render the fur in scan line or v-ray???

Could you explain a bit more about the way you rendered the fur with the colour map and lighting etc I take it you are using v ray for the rest of the render ? the fur looks really nicely integrated to the rest of the render I would likre to know a bit more about your workflow if poss, thanks David.

Hi All its been a while since having some time to post any thing new so here is a cheetah
I produced for Ixor using hair farm.
I'll post some ani's when permission is granted.

Its quite easy.... just brush, kink, friz ,cluster, and whisp.
then a whisker mod seperate.

Its been a while got more to come been stuck on ad jobs but heres a little kitty.
