Waddabich [NUDITY]
Well I think I have figured out what not to do.
Now if I can just figure out what to do.
Here is a simple animation that shows what the sim can do.

Hell I'm a slow learner, let alone a teacher.
But there is a challenge there.
I'll see if I can do something.
In the meantime.... read the instructions. Cem did a pretty good job on them. They are priceless.

Hey, that's fair enough mate. I just thought you might have cooked up some special technique other than what is explained in the docs. In any case, great stuff!
Cheers,

Re: Waddabich
There is one trick that worked well.
Cem stated in the thread viewtopic.php?f=13&t=511&start=0
That making copies of the hairstyle then breaking up the hairstyle into several smaller hairstyles by deleting different parts from each of the copies and simming each seperately.
I originally used just one of the four different hair sections to dial in the sim. Then I copied it to the other sections and simmed each one seperately. On my machine i was able to sim 3 different instances of max running at the same time. Each of the sims took about 20 minutes. So that was only 20 minutes plus the fourth sim 20 minutes to get it simmed in 40 miuntes. I also did a test with the whole hairstyle with the same sim on it. it took 6 hours.
So breaking it down onto smaller hair sections to sim really helped.
After the simming was done I saved the files numbered progressively. Then opened the first and started to merge each of the simmed sections back in.
Then add salt and simmer for 2-3 hours

Re: Waddabich
Anishmation,
I will do that. But it will be later tonight or tomorrow when I get back home.
But as soon a I can I will.
I think it might be helpful to see, because it sometimes looks like it is all going to hell during the simulation.

Wow some very impressive work there. Very inspiring to see
Re: Waddabich (NUDITY)
this is wonderful!
I tried bunch of sim and none of it as good as this, do you mind to share with us your settings?
somehow when I simulate the hair start going through the collision objects.. even if I turn up the subdiv a bit.

Re: Waddabich (NUDITY)
I will if I can. This was done back in December with Max 9. Right now when I open it in 2010 it crashes.
I will see what I can do to get it opened. If not it is way past time to do another.
