Friends heads
Hi all,
Just thought I'd share some time pass self assignments to 3d model my friends and folk around me, of course with their respective hairstyles. I would need time to tweak it all for renders. But styling wise this was an awesome experience.

Re: Friends heads
They all look great! Did you use HairMesh Brush for most of them?

Re: Friends heads
Thanks Cem.
Yes. It was the brush and maps mostly. Some long hair stuff needed hairmesh (like the front area on the last one)

Great job on these, Anish. Both on the hair and the models themselves, they are bursting with character.

Re: Friends heads
Very good haircut
I have a question, I may be missing something or I don't know, but with hairmesh brush, once I cumbed them, I can't make the curve all in their normal direction, like you did, they just curve perfectly, mine goes in all in the same direction with hairmesh curve... what's the trick??
Thank's in advance

Re: Friends heads
Thanks Luc !
I dont follow any trick as such. After I brush them in the required direction, I use multiple copies of modifiers like Kink, Frizz and curve with slightly variant values. Its pure experimental. Even I am not sure if this is the perfect way. But I find its quick to get close to what we want.

Re: Friends heads
Great thank's, can I see your curve, frizz, kink, spiral parameters (just one of the model not all) and did you used any maps to oriente the curve?
The thing I don't like, is that I CAN'T oriente some spline as I want.. it's all random :S Cem you should incorporate the idea I told you years ago, now that we have the uniform distribution mode, it would be so easy with my idea to do any shot haircut and super fast! and more flexible, in fact I would be able to do it in one day and super realistic.
I can PM you Cem if you want me to explain in detail the idea That would be awesome! I think it's the only thing missing in Hairfarm. Hairmesh extrude does half the job.. too limited since we can't use a map for lenght,etc.. so the border of where the hairs meet the skin, let's say in front of the hairs.. it's really not looking good.. and you have thousands of splines to control.. with my idea, fews spline to control and would be possible to use maps, etc
And the hairmesh sim you put is for?
