Excellent work! I could keep on watching this video in an infinite loop! :ok:
The motion of hair is very impressive. Would you mind giving some details on how you made it?
Thanks for posting it here!

Thanks for your messages,

The way we did the hair simulation is very simple, there is no special trick or secret, it just takes a lot of time ^^

After some simulation tests, we immediately understood that it was necessary to animate some things by hand and do the other with simulation, it was very difficult to keep a good shape while having a good simulation (and especially avoiding the Interpenetrations).

Then, we created a simple rig to be able to control perfectly the pigtails and we manage to skinwrap that shape to our hair mesh thanks to the "HairMesh Link". The rest of the hair was done with simulation, thanks to "HairMesh Sim". Because Barbara (the female character) is constantly moving, we opted for "Hierarchical Deformation" that gives more realistic animation, with some adjustemens here and there in the paramaters (curve tool has been a great help) you can see the result.

And Voila,

If you have more questions, feel free to ask.

(Sorry for my english ^^)

That trailer looks great! It was very interesting to see how you animated the lenght map to make the hair grow.

Thanks, guys

@ArchiEHO
The Hair mesh is on top of my pointcached object, and i just add a HairMesh Sim on the stack, it's works fine.

@Woodys3d
Your work has also inspired me ^^
