Hi Cem,

We have developed a method based on multi passes for our fur pipeline. It's more complex to make the setup, but we have much more control over post. This way, we use realistic fur material with all the available features for the diffuse pass. Then we make fake AO, left specular, right specular, top specular, reflection pass (hdri based), direct shadows always using hair farm renderer... This way we can have 8.000.000 hair strands and render it in seconds...
We're testing now v-ray but it's still slow (compared to our current method) when using good aa, gi etc.

Cheers,
